Celebrating Settlers, Inc. programs for 52 Years

Settlers invite you to join their 2023-2024 Series of Hand-Arts Classes. Programs will include the life style and interests of the residents as life progressed from a log house by the river to a stately brick mansion beside the street.

Individual classes are $20 each and advanced registration is necessary.

Classes are open to anyone 14 years old or older (age 14-18 must attend with an adult). Doors open at 9:00 am, program is 9:30 am - 11:30 am.

The Log House will be open for walk-through tours during the West Central Historic Home Tour hours of 11:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. No admission charge. (260) 424-7212.

Settlers' Pioneer Village - Johnny Appleseed Festival
Saturday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Sunday 10:00 a.m.–5 p.m. Johnny Appleseed/Archer Park, 1502 Harry W. Baals Drive, Fort Wayne, IN. Free admission; charge for parking (free parking at IPFW with shuttle to JA Festival). Costumed Settlers demonstrate historic hand arts. You are invited to be a "Settler-for-a day" and volunteer at the Festival. See "Volunteer Efforts" page for details.

Herbs and Perennials Plant Sale
Settlers' Herbs and Perennials Plant Sale will be May 3rd, 10 am - 4 pm in the Swinney House basement and on the west lawn. Proceeds from sale of commercially grown plants and perennial diggings from local gardens support maintenance and restoration of the Homestead. Donations of perennial diggings are welcome ‐please label with plant name. Call (260) 637-8622 or (260) 432-7314 for more information.
