Learn the history of Valentine's Day and create a beautiful Valentine from paper. March 10, 2011 – Morning Series Program – You've Got Me on Pins and Needles! The history of needles and pins, and a collection of pin cushions..create your own with scraps and snippets! April 14, 2011 – Morning and Evening Series Program – The Gourd, the Bad, and the Ugly. See for yourself the many uses of the simple gourd, both historical and modern. May 12, 2011 – Morning Series Program – Handy Kitchen Gardens. In the Spring, touch, taste, smell and plant herbs for your very own handy kitchen garden. The Swinney House is open on program days at 9:00 am for registration and refreshments. |
